​​​​​Welcome to Central DuPage Vision Center, where Dr. Hyderi leads with expertise, passion, and a commitment to personalized care. A proud alumnus of the University of Illinois in 1997 and the Illinois College of Optometry in 2002, Dr. Hyderi embarked on a journey to redefine eye care excellence. In 2012, Dr. Hyderi assumed ownership of Central DuPage Vision Center, building on its legacy of services since 1987. 

With a focus on primary vision care, contact lenses and glasses, dry eye treatments, myopia management, Ortho-K, glaucoma diagnosis and treatment, and co-managing Lasik/Smile and Cataract surgery, Dr. Hyderi seamlessly blends cutting-edge techniques with compassionate care. Dr. Hyderi uses advanced technology such as OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) of the optic nerve and retina, Humphrey Visual Field testing, digital fundus photography, and corneal topography for early detection of glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and other eye diseases. He works in conjunction with other ophthalmologists to provide the best comprehensive care. 

Believing in the transformative power of one-on-one attention, Dr. Hyderi invests time in counseling patients beyond the prescription, emphasizing the importance of proper compliance and offering tailored recommendations to enhance overall well-being. 

Dr. Hyderi is not only dedicated to optimizing vision but also to promoting a healthy lifestyle. With a passion for basketball—both coaching and playing—he embodies the principles of wellness both on and off the court. He also emphasizes good nutrition and fitness to promote ocular wellness and overall preventive health.

Committed to inclusivity, Dr. Hyderi speaks English, Spanish, Urdu/Hindi, and has staff that is bilingual and fluent in Spanish ensuring that language is never a barrier to exceptional care. As a proud member of the Illinois Optometric Association, he remains at the forefront of advancements in optometry, delivering unparalleled service to our diverse community. He also is an active member of the Winfield Chamber of Commerce and promotes contributing to local small businesses.

​​​​​Dr. Desai grew up in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Desai graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters of Business Administration from University of Illinois at Chicago. He received a Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. A Post-Doctoral Residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at the Illinois Eye Institute was performed the following year, allowing for specialization in Ocular Disease and the ability to become a Clinical Attending Doctor within an eye care teaching institution. As an optometry student, Dr. Desai received awards for leadership and held several leadership positions with the American Optometric Students Association and Illinois Optometric Association. Prior to attending graduate school, he worked for four years as a Business Systems Analyst at a corporation in a northern suburb of Chicago. His time as a Clinical Attending Doctor has exposed him to many complicated primary care, pediatric, and disease management cases that have enabled him to teach his students the importance of compassion and excellence in eye care.

Dr. Lisa Vivacqua is a Chicago native. Prior to optometry school, she received a degree in Biology from Elmhurst University. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry, graduating with honors. Dr. Vivacqua completed her clinical rotations in the busy Chicagoland area with a wide variety of patient demographics. She is a member of the Tomb and Key Honor Society, Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, and Illinois and American Optometric Association. Her special interests include dry eye, contact lenses, and disease. When not seeing patients, Dr. Vivacqua enjoys spending time with family, working out, and trying new restaurants.
